Do a quick survey of how many students are using Youtube and what they are using it for.
1
Remind students that the purpose of the tutorial video is to show their hobby to the world (so students are encouraged to upload their video on Youtube and make it visible to everyone).
2
Explain how preparing a storyboard prior to script writing is important. Some examples:
-
It may help them deliver clear messages in their script.
-
It saves time (especially for editing and revising the script).
3
Set up group discussions (or breakout rooms) to discuss what elements that students think make a good storyboard.
4
Ask students to create a storyboard for their tutorial video.

5
Give students an opportunity to ask questions.
6
Homework: Students write a script of their tutorial video from the storyboard.
